Ha! had a surprise today - I was wondering if I had made it through to the USASA Nationals in Boardercross - now that I'm in Open Class Men and the way the qualification system works in Open. Coach was pretty confident that I would finish the Northern Hem season at the USASA Nationals. All good practice he says!
So we logged on to check if I had been successful in getting an invite. What a shock forgot how the system works from one season to the next.
I have been invited to four events:- Boardercross, Halfpipe, Slalom and Giant Slalom.
Although I have only competed in BX this season - my results/points from USASA Nationals 2012 still qualified me for an invite to this year in the other disciplines.
I would have liked to compete in Slalom and GS but unfortunately I will be at the Canadian Nationals at the time of those events or flying back. So it is Halfpipe or BX and I'm wise enough to realize that having not practiced Halfpipe this season - I'll be sticking to BX.
Leave tomorrow for three weeks on my final USA/Canada Competition Tour. Will give it my best shot!
