Dam - so disappointed - just got taken out in my first heat at the USASA/USSA Nor Am.
Leading in the heat, then the next thing I was down.
One of the coaches came up to me and said "nothing you could have done, nothing you did wrong - out of your control" - bad luck!!
Doesn't make you feel any better, the tail of my board was hit from behind by another rider - prime case of BOARDER CROSSED!!!
Not how I had hoped the day or Nor Am season was going to pan out.
One more race in Canada, leave in a couple of days then it is home to Queenstown for some time out - rest and recovery.
This has been my biggest season yet, travel, competing - World Cups.
From on top of the mountains to below the waves -
I'm looking forward to heading down to Dunedin to complete my Rescue Diver PADI course for a month when I get home.
